I can see this being quite popular, especially if they give rewards to RS players as loot cards or something.
Runescape was my childhood game rather than world of warcraft. I hope this does well.
They still trying to milk out on RS?
RS is still an active game and has been out for over 10 years.
Nice to see they are exploring the boundaries like this.
I am looking forward to playing it.
The aesthetic is neat, if nothing else.

it could work, I guess, but I cant get into any card game that isnt just magic the gathering/reskins of it (hex)
I enjoy a more competitive atmosphere (even though that sounds hilarious when dealing with card games)
Well, consider me interested. I used to play Runescape a lot back in the day, and I had fun with Hearthstone, so this should be interesting to play and/or watch.
I play down my grind card!
After 200 turns, my player cards will level up in mining!
I play my Haloween Green Mask card!
After 1 turn, I show off my wealth. I win.

They will be. Apparently playing RS can get you cards, and play chronicles gets in game RS rewards.
This can go either way. RuneScape has semi-cool lore and semi-cool characters, so it could work the same Hearthstone works. But then again, this is basically just an imitation of something successful.
But then again again, LoL is an imitation of Dota and it's doing fine.
According to the jmods working on/testing it, it plays nothing like hearthstone.

And judging by the screenshot, it looks like it plays a little like some sort of SRPG, unless that's just the map-screen for the singleplayer component.
Let's hope for more in-game screenshots later.
