• Upgrading Desktop with $400

Its been a while since I built this thing and I think it's about time to upgrade it. I'm looking to run games on high/max with a decent FPS. I'm fine on storage and storage speed so we can leave SSDs or HDDs out of the equation. I'm willing to upgrade upon everything else though. [editline]20th January 2013[/editline] One of the main things I'm looking to upgrade is RAM. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 Is that good enough?
What games are you trying to run?
What games are you trying to run?
Main games I'm playing right now are ArmA 2:CO, Guild Wars 2, and Natural Selection 2. I play tons of different games though I don't really like to limit myself.
The CPU will still work perfectly well in most if not all games (if you want to upgrade wait for haswell cores) i would probably get a new graphic card and maybe some more ram. The ram you gave is perfectly fine and for a new graphic card maybe a Radeon HD7950? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414
Well your pc seems fine for running most games on high. (exept for the ram) And indeed what striker said a 7950 will improve it. But if your current games dont run well you ight wanna check if your GPU drivers are up to date.

Is there some sort of adapter that I can use with the GPU to have the same dual monitors? On my Current GPU I'm using both DVI ports. Neither of my monitors are HDMI capable. Actually, I could probably just use my motherboard for the other monitor.

Also before you go buy i like to add that the Radeon HD8000 series should be on its way same with the GTX700 series maybe wait it out a bit to get a better performance boost than a 1 generation jump.
