So what i am going to attempt to do, is going to the UK to visit some friends of mine. A few are on these forums actually, they know who they are.
What are tips to be able to save up to get to the UK, and possibly Canada as well. Depending on how it goes with my savings. How much would i need, if it is just me, and i have places to stay for cheap or free?
I don't have a job as of yet, but i am desperately looking for one. How much would i need to work per week? I don't have to pay bills as i am 17 and living with my mum.
I am going to cut my spending to an absolute minimum, only for food in case of emergencys.
Going to go to a cheaper phone plan.
Only spend money on things that are absolutely needed.
If everything goes well, i might stay in the UK and live there. How much would i need if this was the case?
I live in Australia.

Australia. Forgot to mention that
I'm glad I don't live completely isolated from the rest of the world.
It's gotta suck being an Australian at times, don't it?

Hence the reason possibly staying in the UK. There isn't anything here for me really, and when the closest city is over 3000km away, it is really isolated.
Depends on where you work, how long etc. I reckon a 17 year old could earn somthing around $12-15 per hour, so depending on your free times during a week it would fluctuate but you'd definitely have the money for the UK trip if you find a job relatively soon, as the return flight costs around $1300-1600.

I won't be getting a return ticket, I want to see what happens when I get there.
Should be even easier then. The UK trip would definitely be feasible.
