I've been waiting for this for years. The original was such a classic.
I don't know, they had better work on the class balance a bit more.
I mean, the Queen was completely overpowered, and while the Bishop and Rook had good offsets to balance themselves out, the Pawn was so obviously worse that there was no point to using them until they buffed it by making half your team Pawns, and even then they're only good for strength in numbers and are cannon fodder half the time.
Don't even get me started on the Knight. It's like they had some weird experimental ideas in development that somehow made it into the game without being removed.
I had a great idea for chess; Ranged Chess.
Each chess piece (with the exception of Queen, King, and pawns) can attack from a range and remain stationary. However each time a player kills a piece they receive a new pawn to place no further than their furthest unit across the board.
I was expecting some news about a sequel to the musical Chess.
All my disappointment.
the first game was an absolute classic, it was just really buggy like sometimes some pieces wouldnt show up, and you had to dig around in the files to get them back
I never got into the first one, the graphics made it look ancient.
Wow, Valve. Chess got a sequel out before you did. Step it up.

It's not too late for them to buy Checkers and make a sequel to that.
I wonder what the day one DLC will be.
How about a nice game of cyvasse?
