I just watched Return of the Jedi and that concludes my viewing of the original trilogy.
Should I watch the prequels? I've heard many things about them (not necessarily good) but I'm still intrigued by how they will turn out.
Yes, but pretend they're a different series.
If you're the type of guy who says that the Empire Strikes Back is the most boringest one of them because nothing happens and if you think that the battle between Obi Won and Darth Vader was dumb because they didn't do like tons of flips and force moves and if you think seeing a CGI yoda jump around with a mini light-saber doing all sorts of flips and stuff is a good idea and if you like seeing Samuel L. Jackson not get angry and well swear words then there's a good chance that you'll like the prequels.
Watch them, they're not the worst movies in the world.

The hype and expectation when you compare them with the original trilogy is what hurts the prequels

I liked 1-3 more than 4-6.
Yes, just so you know how good the originals are.
They're alright.
They are ok, it's still good to watch even if you hate it.
The new trilogy is good. Not great like the original trilogy, but definitely worth viewing.
Some people hated Jar Jar Binks. I don't get what the big deal was. He was just some comic relief even if it was a little misguided relief.
Episode III is the best of the new trilogy, but Anakin's turn to the dark side wasn't presented as well as it should have. It felt too rushed and like there was not enough reason for him to join the dark side and become a sith.
If you want to watch them, watch them. But be prepared for horrible acting, bad CGI shoved in your face, and nothing making sence.

They're good for a dull Sunday.
Just treat them like bad Expanded Universe novels, and they're decent.
As a part of the "official" SW canon, they're worthless.
Ignore the bandwagoners over there, watch them

Personally I actually like them especially the last.
They're watchable at the very least, III in particular was good
