How do you guys [Brits] get anything done with your customer service?

Before I start I will say I've been bought up here from the age of 2 but have also not had to deal with many UK services. I'm mostly familier with Polish & German companies and banks. I have reciently had to open a UK bank account for my job and I'm trying to register with a UK doctor.
This is where my nightmare has started, how the fuck do you guys actually get anything done over here? There are ALWAYS problems to deal with and when trying to speak to someone on the phone I get given other phone numbers to call, so far for my bank I have a list of 37 numbers for different departments and sub-departments.
UK Banks don't seem to function the same as they do in the EU, and there seems to be unnessesery delays when sending or recieving money with no certaintly as to when it will show up, cards constantly get cancelled without notice with new ones being sent out nearly every other week. ATM's over here are natorious for swallowing cards without explination. Is this normal for you guys? any tips on how not to loose your rag?
Onto doctors now, A few days ago I registered with a UK doctor for the first time, conveniently located just around the corner from my house and had my first appointment today (I have a serious sleeping medical condition and need medication in order to survive/stay awake/sleep) and they have just turned around and said "someone" has taken my details off of the system and that I cannot register there again. This has happened twice so far and neither has been any help or given me any explination. I have not had my medication in nearly a month and already been rushed to hospital on 2 separate occasions, once having to spend 3 nights in the hospital and then being given only 1 weeks medication and told to "go see my GP"
Sorry for the rant and I know Facepunch isn't really the ideal place but I don't really know where else to turn. How the fuck do you guys cope with all this shit?
Tell them that you're gonna find where they live and fuck their dog.
Usually works for me.
I don't know how we cope with your anecdotal experiences either.
If you aren't a British citizen then it's going to be hard to get anything done, especially with the NHS and Banks. Two things that have bureaucracy spewing out of their metaphorical sphincters.
I don't use the phone for banking, go in branch. They can't deny you access to your local GP, make a complaint if they don't fix it.
This is the NHS we're talking about, if you don't take it further they will ignore you. Use walk-in centres if you're desperate, don't wait until you need A&E.
A practice cannot refuse you unless it has reasonable grounds for doing so. These must not relate to race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, disability, or a medical condition. It must also give you reasons for its decision in writing. However, you may be refused if you are living outside the practice’s catchment area or the practice is generally not accepting new patients at the time because its list is closed.
We don't get anything done
Thought that stuff only happens in Russia
