So I finally got a phone which is the Sony Xperia Mini Pro. It was a $0 phone with a contract which my parents got the family package. Anyways, it runs Android 2.3.3 and I've been getting used to the OS. This is also my first phone.
Anyways, a few questions, what apps you guys reccommend? And games, anything useful, maybe a good task manager too so I don't have to go to home, then go through the settings.
What I have: Angry Birds :P, realplayer to watch a bunch of tv shows, inotia 3, some racing games, some flashlight, and some other apps so reccommend away!
Fps games, like good ones. I heard NOVA was good.
Also, based on the specs it has 512mb of ram when the phone itself (in the task manager thing) said that it has 270MB of RAM (total, including used and free). Is this some kinda problem? Or is it not?
You don't need a task manager, Android handles it for you.
Get whatever apps suit you. If you need to ask, odds are you won't find anything that's more than a novelty. Do a little self browsing, see what you can find yourself using day in and out. For news, I recommend Pulse.
And uh...for free, the Xperia Mini is a good phone. But that 270mb of RAM is just one of the many reasons nobody should ever buy it.
Ever.

Gonna ask Sony about this tomorrow.
Also how do you by rid of the zoom buttons on the screen when you are on the internet browser?
I suggest you download ADW Launcher, if you want normal icons on your homescreen.
A phone or any computer never has the exact amount of memory listed. It's always an approximation, and slightly off. Though 270 is a bit far off the mark from 512.

Are you sure you didn't just look at the current amount of free RAM?
EDIT: You mean the X10 mini pro Gen2. That's a different story. First of all you don't need a task manager/task killer. Android handles memory management quite well and using a task manager simply causes inactive programs to restart which causes more slowdowns.
270MB of ram being free after having programs open is about right. You should hover around 320-350MB when you have no processes going.

Thought that sony by now wouldn't be like 300 or so RAM, I thought thay would be like in the proper increments like 256 or 512...

They do. Look you don't understand this stuff so you should probably just be content with your device and leave it be.
I fail to see how you can't understand the concept that Android itself takes ram to run so the amount of free ram will obviously not be in a proper increment from 8 because the OS itself is using some of the ram thus making the amount less than the 512 available.
Can you please take a screenshot. You aren't explaining/understanding what your phone is saying properly so I'd like to analyze a screenshot so I can actually see it myself.

well I dont understand andriod yet of course since this is my first one and all of my friends that do have one are total fags about it spamming Google FTW and how andriod is better than iOS, chrome is the best, etc.
what I do understand is computers themselves and I dont understand why its like 280 in total ram instead of. 512. If it did had 512, why wouldnt it say that (adding both free and used of course). There was a few times when I saw the used ram 110 and free ram was 160 and increasing...
Yeah ill post a picture of it in the task manager window.

I've explained why it isn't 512. It's total USABLE ram. Do you have 512 usable? Nope. Less than 512 is available for use because Android requires memory to run. On average how much does it say for free and used?
The reason why is because some of the RAM is just reserved for other things, like critical OS components. The Desire HD has 768 MB of RAM, but I only can have 620 MB of it for applications, and usually normal things like homescreens and other less-critical OS applications will make it so that I will have about 150-200 MB left.

What do you mean no one should buy it? I have it and it's a bloody amazing phone.
OP, you should get Opera Mini. Great browser.

Some can do perfectly fine with less. I use a Wildfire which has even less and it's great.
