• Windows 7 is eating the half of my RAM.

Hello, It seems that Windows eats the half of the total RAM everytime I boot up. I have only my anti-virus that boots with Windows and nothing else. At the very startup, when the desktop shows, Windows only uses around 700 MB of ram, yet progressively, Windows takes up to 2 Gigs of ram out of my 4 Gigs. The thing I want to know is, why Windows takes the half of your total ram, and if possible, how to stop that. I am soon going to upgrade to 8 Gigs and i'm afraid to will take 4 Gigs, then buying ram would result in nothing...
This is perfectly normal, just because the memory has been cached by Windows does not make it unusable, memory will automatically be allocated to applications that need it.
Oh ok, i thought it was a waste of ram, thank you for replying of this fast :v:
