Now we just need a fixed map editor which we got promised since release!
Not gonna do much to save it.
LoL needs a Mid Map, would be pretty fun.
Now we just need a fixed map editor which we got promised since release!
It works, does it not? You just can't play them without that LAN client or something.
Not gonna do much to save it.
HoN is far from dead.
Compared to Dota 2 and especially LoL it's a skeleton at the bottom of the pacific ocean.
100k online is dead? dafuq
100k online is dead? dafuq
Compared to LoL's 3M online and whatever Dota 2's online is, yes.
Compared to LoL's 3M online and whatever Dota 2's online is, yes.
LoL has had a record of 500k online concurrent users........ Dota 2 has 50k online...how is HoN dead? If HoN had been on Steam it would have been one of the most played games there..
I really don't understand why people play LoL instead of HoN when HoN is so much better.
Did the HoN devs really need to make this? In LoL people just make custom games called "all mid" and that works just fine, no need to waste time making a whole new gamemode out of it imo.

People can still choose not to go in mid and respawn timer is still on. This is a deathmatch mod where there is no place to go but mid. I also don't see what is wrong with making a gamemod for it? is additional gamemods bad?
LoL needs a Mid Map, would be pretty fun.
The tutorial map only has one lane but I don't understand why Riot hasn't released it as an all mid map. ARAM (All Random All Mid) is becoming really popular. [editline]6th May 2012[/editline]
It works, does it not? You just can't play them without that LAN client or something. LOL was the worst game I ever played. HoN was fucking awesome for ages. Dota 2 has taken the role of my favourite right now. Whichever comes out with custom games (map editor) first will earn my playtime, as I miss footman frenzy, pimp my peon, LOAP, RISK, multiplayer tower defence, LOTR etc.

That's what Warcraft III and Starcraft II is for. DotA is a Warcraft III custom map, not the other way around.
Uh... That's what Warcraft III and Starcraft II is for. WC3 is unplayable now due to all the shitty bots that spam empty games all day.
I really don't understand why people play LoL instead of HoN when HoN is so much better.
I really don't understand why people can't differentiate between a subjective opinion and an objective fact.
I really don't understand why people can't differentiate between a subjective opinion and an objective fact.
Are you saying I didn't state my opinion?
Can we all stop fighting about which game is better? They all have their own strengths and weaknesses, it's down to the point to where it's the individuals personal preference. Now then, the 'Mid Wars' mode seems to be a good idea, taking a favorite custom game mode and turning it into something officially supported is always nice...
I hated LoL because it's art style was shit, it's gameplay was slow as in the maps were too big, your characters moved too slowly even with the fastest boots, and also those 2 out-of-game abilities were a ridiculous thing to base on a levelling system. And the grass was a crap mechanic, it was like juking for noobs. In fact come to think of it, LoL just seemed to entirely be a game for noobs. It was everything good taken from Dota, converted into shitty outline-shaded art style, and dumbed down enough to make it great for total noobs. You can kiss fair competitive gameplay goodbye when you prevent players from accessing stuff like those from the beginning and require people to level for them. It's different for unlockable hero's because they're usually well balanced (especially in HoN) and have their own strengths and flaws.
Are you saying I didn't state my opinion?
I think he means that you basically said "HoN is better than LoL because I like it better" without coming with any sort of arguments as to why HoN is better than LoL.

Which imo is why it's so much more popular than DOTA and HoN today, it's much more accessable for a larger playerbase. Also the way you talk about "noobs" make you sound like a giant elitist dickhole.
LoL needs a Mid Map, would be pretty fun.
All they need to really do is take the training grounds map and allow that for 3v3/5v5 and we're good to go.
I've played both LoL and HoN. Every time I play HoN I'm on the losing team, but I won like crazy on LoL. I'm probably one of the worst players in either of these games, but it's kind of cool that I can win at LoL. But for that reason, HoN should be more popular in the ~competitive scene~. The fact that you lose gold if you die in HoN kills me, but LoL really doesn't have as much of a penalty for dying. [editline]6th May 2012[/editline] Being the best LoL player is like being king of of the shit mound.
Both LoL and HoN have now added their own new gamemodes to the Moba scene (LoL with that CTF style gamemode, and now HoN with this all mid thing), and now Dota 2, along with having to be free, now has to bring its own innovations to the table to even compete with the current Moba market. Good news is that Valve is behind Dota 2, and they probably know this. So I can't wait to see what new stuff they bring to the table.

They have all kinds of cool features that LoL and HoN don't have.

And it's still in beta. In League, I barely even play Dominion, and very few people do, and it's all about the classic map and the features of the game. [editline]6th May 2012[/editline] Dota 2 easily has the best features hands down. And a very well done client, I might add.
Does LoL even have replays yet? I remember they promised them like two years ago.
Does LoL even have replays yet? I remember they promised them like two years ago.
It's got a spectator mode now. Last update added that. Proper replays are still missing.
