I love RPS pics.
It's a good thing Driver games suck hard.
And I was almost going to buy it too. I enjoyed the first two driver games, and this was looking to be a return to their pure car-based fun. Oh well.
And then they wonder why nobody buys their games on the PC and pirates them.
I guess this is because of how successful the DRM is and how it never ever gets cracked. I can see why they'd want to implement such a foolproof scheme.
Is the DRM used with steam too ?
Good thing I'm buying it at console.
I miss the days when game publishers didn't try to screw their customers over as much as possible.
Is the DRM used with steam too ?
Im guessing yes, because games are allowed to run any peripheral programs they want to on steam. ie. Grand Theft Auto 4 has a separate login system.
i like the way the games that have this DRM always get lost or forget 2 or 3 days after launch
Pirated versions wont have the DRM, not advocating piracy just stating a fact. And they wonder why people pirate games..
Wow, ubisoft is really going down bankrupt lane if they keep treating their customers as less then filth.
The thing with DRM like this is that only paying customers suffer. The warez version of the game will have a crack applied to it that stops this DRM from working, so people who pirate it will actually have a better version of the game than those who buy it. I like to call this reasoning "ubisoft logic".
It's almost like they want the game to go down in infamy! Hooray for french jerks! Vive la France!
It's almost like they want the game to go down in infamy! Hooray for french jerks! Vive la France!
They have more studios in Canada than in France. (less taxes in Canada)
They have more studios in Canada than in France. (less taxes in Canada)
Canada is just the americanized version of France anyway boy I hope I'm not insulting anyone with this
I'm not happy about it but I'm still going to buy this even if it's for the Xbox
Good thing I'm getting it for PS3.
I just don't understand the thought process behind it. It's well known that DRM GETS CRACKED. The pirates won't suffer whatsoever from this. How do they not see that?
I'll still get it. Of course this is a disappointment but i can get over it, and it'll get cracked in matter of days.
I just don't understand the thought process behind it. It's well known that DRM GETS CRACKED. The pirates won't suffer whatsoever from this. How do they not see that?
DRM does get cracked, but most people can't even install a simple crack. DRM protects against those people. Are you seriously telling me you've never had anyone call you and ask for help with cracking a game?
I miss the days when game publishers didn't try to screw their customers over as much as possible.
I miss the days of fun filled DRM.... anyone remember this? This DRM is the only reason I have ever been tempted pirate a game I could have bought and all it is doing here is making it a non purchase regardless of reviews
Well now my interest has dropped to 2% now, I mean, I was so interested, was going to buy the premium whatever but now, why should I go through the DRM pain that was Assasins Creed 2 all over again? In this day and age, there are possibilities of a temporary internet "hiccup" does that mean I'm screwed if this happens when I play the game? Yea. Why does Ubisoft insist on being backwards?
haha no wheel support for this game? I remember back in the day with my ps1 wheel and Driver 2 - good times
Keeping my pre-order for the Collector's Edition. Just.
I guess this is because of how successful the DRM is and how it never ever gets cracked. I can see why they'd want to implement such a foolproof scheme.
I don't see how anyone still "fights" piracy tbh. There are ALWAYS ways around everything they throw at them.
Oh what the fuck. How can they not see this system is so retarded? Have they even tried playing one of their drm games?
DRM does get cracked, but most people can't even install a simple crack. DRM protects against those people. Are you seriously telling me you've never had anyone call you and ask for help with cracking a game?
That's true. I've had a friend call me because he didn't understand how to install a game he downloaded. It was clearly marked in the title of the torrent and in the description, "FOR PLAYSTATION 2". I guess technological illiteracy or straight up stupidity knows no bounds. That said, I can't imagine that there's a large or justifiable amount of people who fall into this category.
