I need a video card that can do atleast DX10, Run Source games and games like Battlefield Bad Company 2 on DX10 decently
Max price: $80 w/o shipping
my current specs:
WIN 7 x64
AMD Athlon II x4 630 (Quad)
6gb DDR2
current shit card: 8800GT 512mb ddr3
I can run BC2 on medium decently btw
Save more, you're not going to get anything remotely good for $80
Yeah, save at least x2 more for what you want.
Well pick me out a video card that will work for what i want, max $120, i cant go anymore
5770 is the best you can get for $120

You can pick around tech websites and craigslist for a good bargain as well, if time isn't of the essence.
You have pretty good specs, just save up some money and get a good video card.
if you really want to go budget get a 5770, but you won't get anything worth the money for under that.
the 5770 is a damn good card, i have it. all source games run absolutely maxed at like 150 fps, bc2 runs at 60 on medium/high (anal about framerate in multiplayer) and crysis 2 on extreme is like 40 fps.
Well what are your other specs cheese, so i can have an idea on how well ill run it
crysis 2 on extreme is like 40 fps.
This doesn't mean much unless you installed the Dx11 pack. Because Crysis 2 was console ported, it is much easier to run without Dx11 upgrade.
You can always find a used 5770 for around 60-80 on ebay or something

phenom x2 555 with an extra core unlocked and OC'ed to 3.8ghz, 4 gigs of ddr3, and as you can see i'm on a 1440x900 monitor so things run p small

~snip~ nvm i see it
i'm on a 1440x900 monitor so things run p small
Yeah, that's why you can run games good. Try going to 1920x1080 or higher, watch that drop to half in Crysis. And that doesn't look that great in the SS. So do you have the upgrade?

You do know that CF 6870s are faster than SLI 460 1GBs right? And the 460 SE is slower than a 460 1GB?
Aswell as two 460 SE being $180 and a 6870 being $180..

PNY GeForce GTS450 1GB GDDR5: including shipping its $77
Is it worth the switch cuz i only got like $70 and i can borrow an extra 7

Nevermind, no. Going for the GTX460
Note the GTX460 SE isn't a full 460, it's a severely cut down version. Just so you know what you are getting. Don't go to benchmark sites and expect the 460's they benchmark there to match what you'll get with the SE unless it specifically says SE in the bench.
Well is it worth to go cheaper and just take the gts450?
No
Could buy the 100$ 285 like an og
Or you could save some motherfucking money and buy a full price decent motherfucking card
Yeah i got a 6 month old 5770 from my friends brother only spent $80. Used the money i saved on some pretty new speakers.
5870 would be a great affordable choice.
The SE in GTX460se stands for slow edition, so no overclocking, and very prone to overheating.
