New computer problems

[404 error]

So I got my new desktop today but I'm having 2 problems as I've never used Windows 7 I haven't a clue on what's where.

Problems-

Mic dosen't work
2nd monitor too blue or too dark I can't tell

Specs-

Intel Pentium CPU G620 @ 2.60GHz (2 Cpus)
4gb Ram
Radeon HD 5400 2.7gb

Any Ideas?

Are you using the onboard soundcard or have you installed one? Is the mic plugged in the front (if any) or rear ports? Try the mic on a different computer or try a different mic on your computer.

Are you using the onboard videocard? Check if the problem persists if you use a different monitor. If not, then try resetting your monitor's options. Your cable might be loose in the port aswell.
