It had a fun concept behind it but the actual game didn't catch my attention whatsoever.

Wasn't a prediction; he suspected something was about to happen, then found an announcement for this that no one had noticed.

He has a point; even if the game wasn't that great, it's shouldn't be taken down. A game shouldn't be arbitrarily made unplayable.
