Getting a Sidewinder X8 Mouse for Christmas, anything I should know?

Well the title pretty much tells all.
Anything I should know about this mouse?
Should I get this at all or should I just get another game?
I MEANT TO SAY X5!
The sidewinder mice are pretty uncomfortable and gimmick looking. The sidewinder keyboard is great but I really wouldn't get the mouse.
Maybe get a G5 or MX518.
The sidewinder mouse is very uncomfortable i think.
Get a G9.
I have a Sidewinder x8. It's a decent mouse, but the shape is a bit odd. I got used to it though. One thing that does annoy be about it is the mouse feet. I'm not sure if the x5 has interchangeable feet or not, but the feet on the x8 are not very slippery at all. When dragging across a hard surface, the mouse doesn't glide too well. It is still a pretty decent mouse, but it isn't one of my favorites.
I'm using a Logitech G500 right now. Best mouse I've ever used. It has the same basic shape as the MX518, but with more buttons and a much better tracking sensor. It is definitely my favorite mouse right now.

This I can agree with, got mine about 2 months ago and have been extremely pleased with it.

The X8 felt a little cramped for me.
Roccat Kone is superior in my opinion.

Not really fond of roccat mouses.

The joysticks are also amazing, even though they're years old and hard to find.
I love my G9. The only thing that annoys me about the G5 and G9 are the knitted cord which always gets messed up for me.

My beloved Force Feedback 2 has a borked USB cable, and they cost like £100 on ebay. That was the best joystick I ever used. :frown:
