I've stopped giving a shit about the words "Game of the year edition" because dishonest publishers pull shit like this [t]http://s3.thcdn.com/productimg/0/600/600/34/10614734-1337856348-87138.png[/t][t]http://edge.alluremedia.com.au/m/k/2012/08/Fable-II-Game-Of-THe-Year-Edition-Ntsc-Front-Cover-28521.jpg[/t][t]http://edge.alluremedia.com.au/m/k/2012/08/35907_borderlands_game_of_the_year_edition-print.png[/t] (they didn't win GOTY btw, it's a lie) Witcher 3 fucking deserves it though. Possibly even for multiple years :v:

Possibly even for multiple years :v:
Only reason i care is because it comes with all the DLC, i don't own Witcher 3 but i'm waiting for a good bundle for the game + DLC Also, the last two games had a Enhanced Edition so i hope for something like that to come along
This got like 300 gotys so its prolly ok to use the name
I mean, they won Game of the Year at the damn Game Awards
I wonder how we'll think of W3 many years from now Just look at HL2 and even HL1, Doom 1, Morrowind, all types of older games. All of them still pretty highly regarded even still. HL2 was considered game of the decade. W3 kind of dominated the open world genre in a pretty big way, which is kind of what this generation is mainly focused on.
Game of the Year is just something that means "+ all DLCs included". It has been for over 10 years, I'm not sure why that still bothers anyone when it's so well-known. But where the hell is BioShock Infinite GOTY?

"Complete Edition" or something along that line would be more appropriate. Seeing real crap games with "game of the year" plastered on the front feels like a way of deceiving consumers who are less informed about video games in general.
Game of the Year Awards
What are you even talking about? The video you linked is the "Video Game Awards".
I'm surprised they're not going for an "Enhanced Edition" like they have for Witcher 1 & 2. If this is true that is. For those of you who don't know, CDPR has always released Enhanced Editions of their games as free upgrades to those who have the games. They usually contain a lot of extra content as well as some various bugfixes and quality of life improvements. Then again, I guess with all of the free DLC content the game has gotten, as well as the updates they did to the UI just recently, I guess it makes sense to drop the Enhanced Edition moniker. That, and Witcher 3 is actually the first Witcher game to ever get expansion packs, so they have to make a version that has them included to draw in any potential new buyers.

TW3 was GOTY in 2015 and it was GOTY this year when B&W got released
Even Beth\Obsidian was humble enough to name NV's repackaging the Ultimate Edition
Even Beth\Obsidian was humble enough to name NV's repackaging the Ultimate Edition
Well, it was more because New Vegas didn't really win that many GOTY titles and was disregarded by the mainstream fanbase due to its rather bungled launch causing it to get lower than expected review scores. I love NV much more than FO3 or FO4, but there's no denying that its launch was a mess. A mess that was effectively cleaned up through various updates and content additions (even more so than Bethesda could manage with their own games), but you only get one chance to make a good first impression.

They bit the bullet and gave it a more humble name.

Something about "Over $50 in content value" bothers me, I think it's the word value being there when it could be either "Over $50 in value" or "Over $50 in content" and get the point across.
