• Fraps not recording sound input

My stupid ass fraps won't even bother to record sound ingame such as counter strike, but I noticed I could hear sound from my mic. I did a test and i kept "Jerking" as you would say, the mic and heard the "Jerking" sound, I took the cable from the microphone to my motherboard out, and tried it, and some how I still heard the microphone  Right now, the sound device is Realtek HD Audio Input, and Sound input is "Default" :byodood:
Go to FRAPS > Movies Then check "Detect Best Sound Input"
Nope, doesn't work. Still hear the sound of my microphone.
Use xfire, it's easier to use than fraps.
Yeah but, the quality is terrible (I think) and I think it can only be uploaded to xfire.com
the raw recording is good (depending on what settings you use) and they just save to a folder, xfire just has a built in encoder and an option to upload encoded ones
I see. Do I have to have xfire running to use?
well yeah
Running Gmod at a stable 120 FPS then turning on the Xfire recorder reduces frames to 3 and less constantly for me. Fuck that. I also can't get sound to work on my FRAPS, but that doesn't matter as much for me, what were you going to do with it Lorenc?
did you change the settings for it to record at 60FPS also half size helps immensely
I have it set at the highest settings and 20 seconds takes up 500mb or some shit like that. HOWEVER, if you slap it into windows movie maker, and publish it, it goes down to like 10mb.

1.Go to your audio settings. 2.Go to options > properties > input, mic in or similar like that. 3.Put your input volume on lowest and unmute stereo mix. (You can't use your mic while using stereo mix because all they can hear is whats coming out from your speakers) This is for XP by the way. I don't know for Vista or 7 because i never used it.
I can use my mic with stereo mix, I don't know how I did it, but it did it by itself, and I did not like that. But yeah use stereo mix.
