But still, yay. Shame they had to go as far as to have police presence during the ceremony to make sure nothing would go bad. The "leader" of the anti-gay marriage movement insisted a few days ago that the marriage should not be disrupted, and she even gave them her best wishes. By the way, an important precision : this marriage pretty much seals the law as irremovable. It's now absolutely impossible to remove the law because it would create new inequality (for now, only for this one gay couple) which is strictly forbidden by our constitution.
What faguettes they must be
They'll be eating eachother's baguettes
Hot tasty baguettes all buttered up and salty and in my mouth.

I hope their honeymoon will be the occasion to share a few delicacies.
Baguettes.
And now we shall wait for the first divorce. There's a lawyer somewhere hoping to get a new trophy.
I bet the wedding was ribbeting

i find it so ironic that people here stereotype france with gay people but there was a huge fight to get gay rights in the first place
Wow never heard of this before [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] I'm French
Thanks for not spoiling the jokes by telling the other guys coucougnette is slang for ballsack in french.
I'm French
Hey come on man, don't be so hard on yourself.
Wouldn't suprise me if someone terorrized their home
Found a picture of one of the newlywed:
I realize that most of us are "shocked" by how uncivil a "civil" European country can act when something new comes around the bend, but let's keep a few things in mind. It wasn't even sixty years ago that several African American students walked down the halls of Little Rock Central High School not with a police presence, but with the presence of the National Guard by order of the President of the United States.
We need a Winner+Friendly Icon
Dammit Max, it's all your fault.
Give him the baguette.
<Enter joke here involving gays and baguette's, rate me funny> But to be serious, good on them. I hope they don't get attacked by other people.
Congratuations Max!!!!!
And with Frank Sinatra singing "Love and marriage", the two men exchanged their alliances and kissed.
The most fabuleux wedding in history.
I'm surprised there were no bigots trying to trash the wedding.
I'm surprised there were no bigots trying to trash the wedding.
The police was probably a good dissuasion. Not to mention the one chick who's leading the movement against gay marriage has asked everyone to stay clear from the ceremony.
IS THAT MOTHERFUCKING SALVATORE FROM MAD MEN IN THE BACK?!?!??!?!
the gay marriage isn't as fabulous as how handsome those guys are. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] eh nevermind
unbaguettable kill me
the one chick who's leading the movement against gay marriage has asked everyone to stay clear from the ceremony.
in case they catch the gay
in case they catch the gay
They aren't really that dumb, they are mostly against adoption by gay couples, more than against gay marriage. They don't even refer to this law as the gay marriage/marriage for all law. And this is a smart move on their side considering they are currently fighting to get the law removed (which is now impossible thanks to that ceremony) and crashing a wedding would not exactly make them look or sound any more sensible.
