I can't seem to upload a new one so either I'm just fucking stupid and doing something wrong or it has been fixed.
Get firefox and the APNG editor addon.
Make sure it's the right size and upload it.

you need to cut down the size a bit more for it to animate, maybe cut around some of the transparency if there is any.
if it's too big, it will lose transparency and not animate
