Well I doubt there is an easier way to freely construct something in a 3D room if not with blocks.
Minecraft didn't invent blocks, I hope everyone nowadays keeps that in mind.
This looks really good actually. Might check the free version out later.

I hope people don't feel the need to be so pedantic.
Of course minecraft didn't event blocks, but it surely popularised it. Thus that statement about a games 'minecraftness' is perfectly acceptable.

Drawing a reference to a game is far from saying that game invented the whole genre...
By the description it looks really cool indeed.
Regardless of any similarity to minecraft this looks like it could be a really fun game.
I can say that it is. They just recently got Notch'd and went from 200 sales to 900 in 4 days.
Also, I can answer almost any questions about this you care to ask
Hopefully you'll be able to save blueprints of your ship, would suck majorly if you spent loads of time making a massive detailed ship only to have it blow up and have to rebuild it from scratch.
