As I found out in a previous thread I made (which no one probably remembers), the reason my computer was running so hard/loud was because of my GPU. After looking up speccy, it showed that my GPU was running quite hot, especially for dormant mode. Is there any way to fix this? It gets really annoying hearing it constantly blaring after a few minutes after start up.
Clean the fan.
Get a decent air flow in your computer. E.G. fan in the front, 1 in the back, no big cables in that way.
How hot is the GPU? Anything under 80°C you shouldn't worry about. You can also try decreasing the spinning speed of the fan.
What graphics card is it? How hot is it exactly under load?
It's an GeForce 8800GTS, and it runs at about 80 C, even though all I'm doing is browsing FP. Right now it's not making much noise, but whenever I try to play something on Steam, it flips.

I have an 8800GTX, they run hot. Idle is around 80 and playing games can get it up to 100... I bought a duster today, hopefully I can fix that...
-Make sure the exaust isnt blocked (back of pc)
-Make sure that it isnt full of dust.
-Apply new thermal paste to it (Especially if you have ever taken the heatsink of)
