is this the start of phasing out pcgamesn?
I thought everyone hated PC Gamer
I thought everyone hated PC Gamer
it got better
I find it a bit frightening that bethesda is releasing low quality low playtime DLC that 3 or 4 employees probably made but didn't have time to put it in the actual game.
It's only $5 and I've already gotten close to 7 hours of enjoyment out of it without even seeing all there is to see, I wouldn't call that hardly worth it, it just depends on what kinda shit you like doing in the game

I can completely understand not thinking it's worth it since it's just settlement stuff, but this is just silly.

people hated PCGamer??????
Basically PCgamer is Pcgamesn but with less shit articles
It's still clickbaity at times but at least it's not godawful opinion articles and constant linking to lists for no good reason

How? $5 <2 hour long DLC that are pretty much paid mods worries the hell out of me if this is the future of their DLC. Not a lot of people are happy about the lack of content these two DLCs offer. I hope that this is the last low content DLC that they will have for Fallout 4 because if they release more, I worry more for the next Elder Scrolls.

It may have just been their magazine stuff putting a bad taste in everyone's mouth, but if my memory is right every sort of hated them in general. The magazine had lists and tips and ads/sponsored content out the ass and the actual content was never that good.
No idea how the magazine is now, haven't actually heard the name PC Gamer in a while. Just weird seeing PC Gamer not be ridiculed.
When is GECK coming out? Those are the only workshop tools I need.

This is nothing new. They made Horse Armor, remember?
And as far as lack of content goes, they already said their plan was to release two smaller DLCs and then a larger, Point Lookout-esque one. and then some more later.

they make a small $5 appetizer DLC right before the big meaty DLC coming next month and Bethesda is doomed for the future.
like dude calm your tits lol

I couldn't care less about the size of the next mod, the point was that the first DLC was mediocre at best and the last DLC was terrible.

That makes a good DLC is quality and content. You can have DLC that adds 40 hours of content but still be shit because that 40 hours isn't quality content. You can also have DLC that adds 1 hour of content but still be good because it's an hour of quality content.
Bethesda has fucked up with DLC before (Horse Armor), but I think it was obvious to everyone that they would never make that mistake again. The Skyrim DLCs were pretty decent, decent enough for me to buy them twice and think that Fallout 4 will be pretty good with it's DLC.

ok seeing that I already like them 10000% more
And here I was hoping for a DLC that expanded on settlement stuff instead of an entrapment mod with settlements on the side. At least the neon letters are useful.
This DLC is the new horse armor
I feel stupid for not realizing until now that PCGames N and PC Gamer are two different sites :v:
I...agree wholeheartedly. In fact, if I didn't have a season pass, I probably wouldn't have Wasteland Workshop at all. Nothing done in this DLC is beyond the realm of modding, hell, most of it is just items no different than what's in Snap'n'Build, Homemaker, etc. Hell, some things are actually done BETTER in mods! My Doom Fortress in Sanctuary Hills is secured by an automatically closing bank vault door that is key-locked to a keycard reader on the wall next to it. No keycard no entry. All the doors in all of my settlements will auto-close, the ones NPCs need to use often are fully automatic.
The only things that aren't straight out of Homemaker et al(Arena battles) are something simple enough that anyone with any decent experience with FOSE and access to a GECK could whip up in a jif.
If you lack a season pass, pass this one up.
I never knew people hated PC Gamer, I've always quite liked them. Though maybe that's because I've always went to their site, and never looked at their magazine.

Wait for Far Harbour before hashing out judgement.
TBH it should've been a mini game like tower defence where you have to withstand waves of enemies once a day or so while at the same time trying to get new settlers.

Pretty much
Far Harbor is suppose to be bigger than any expansion/DLC they've done before including shivering isles
You know, it's cool and all, I like new stuff. But hell, guess what I have in my main settlement? 3 buildings which are full of beds and all the required resources to run it, and I'M OUT OF SPACE (size). No I can't put that 1 foot tall potted plant, I'm already at maximum size in a fucking village with only 3 buildings made. And no, I didn't make a giant ass tower, I made 1 or 2 story tall houses, that's it. I can't use the new stuff without fucking off everything back to square one. They should have allowed more "size" per settlements, and I thought that it would be included in this DLC but nope.

Throw down a shitton of pipe pistols and scrap them via build menu. Or, optionally, go grab a size limit remover mod from the Nexus.

Get one of those mods that greatly increase settlement size.

Big=/=good
Some things can be both, but I would be wary of Bethesda selling their "big DLC" with the fact that the map it will be set on is BIGHUGE if I were you.
