I once rented a game from Blockbuster when I was really little for the PS2, it had mechs and I think it was tile based, there was a mission on a bridge where you had to fight the Polish military I think but hat is all I remember. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I have been trying to find it for years.

I think it was one of the Mission Front games.

I think you are right. It takes place in WWII.
Yeah, it's the same vein of Front Mission, I'm almost positive that's the game. It's tile based as well, so it fits the description.
