I got killed by a cow in runescape. Haven't touched it since.
I played a MMO once.
I accidentally sold my +10 +45% extra damage to medium sized target crossbow(each + of the +10 added like 4 to the overall attack power of the bow, then 3 cards that added 15% overall damage to targets classified as medium size)to an NPC in Ragnarok Online. Since Ragnarok Online was originally made to run on systems from the early 2000's, there is no buyback option.
wow that meme is older than i am
I'm pretty sure my man Leeroy was already at least 12 when that video was recorded
stole my friends adamant pickaxe on runescape years back because he left himself logged on my pc told him years later lol
http://www.wowhead.com/item=1973/orb-of-deception I bought this item back in Vanilla WoW for a shit ton of gold and materials. Thinking it actually disguised you as the enemy faction, I walked into Stormwind and got my ass kicked.
wow that meme is older than i am
Isn't this a 13+ forum?
i set my password to a 5 letter common as fuck word when i was playing runescape at age 10 while playing on an unofficial site ofc i got hacked and since jagex never asks for your email, recovery process wasn't worth it
When I started in Wrath, I didn't use my poisons on my rogue until about level 78
i have a battered jungle hat on retail wow which is super rare now - in like the 30 thousands on the auction house - and accidentally deleted it from my inventory once granted i restored it immediately afterwards but the shock was enough the first time i played wow i went out to stormwind as a lvl1 mage and got killed by a cutpurse and quit the game for a day
Let's all be reminded that we all fell for what was clearly a very staged video and ran with it. A good thing or a bad thing? You decide.
My most embarrassing MMO moment was buying Wildstar.
My most embarrassing MMO moment was buying Wildstar.
God don't remind me.
I saw a dwarf splat hammering the head of some dude once.
I got killed by a cow in runescape. Haven't touched it since.
i used to spend hours farming cows for leather, like i spent a good 2 months of my life doing that so i could go to agribah and sell them at the market place for gold. i didn't know why people wanted the leather or why i wanted the gold but thats what i did. then i found out they were tanning the hides and selling them for way more, so i started doing that. before i knew it was making wedding rings for people so they could get married in runescape to each other and would pay me shit loads of gold for making rings and other shit for their weddings. that was the time i stopped doing that and went into combat stats because i didn't want to be a fucking wedding planner in runescape anymore, i wanted to just kill things.
pking on runescape years back and my friend took me on my first pk trip. I saw a guy running past so I attacked him, he was begging for me to stop "no please", eventually killed him. Turns out he was totally unarmed and was running chaos runes. I felt so rotten about it I pmed him and offered him his stuff back and didn't pk again for a long time.

I've got a couple, bought for like 1000g each on the AH.
Isn't this a 13+ forum?
Sure but it doesn't matter. I joined when I was 9, and my birthday message is forever fucked because of it.
My most embarrassing MMO moment was buying Wildstar.
I bought Rift and Wildstar.
I wasted like 500 euros or more on a goddamn freemium mmo.

Back when WoW only had two expansions, Burning Crusade and the Lich King ones, I downloaded the game and played it on a private server. I was under the assumption that playing in private servers to avoid paying the subscription fee wasn't against the ToS since you wouldn't have the security and other benefits of official servers, but my account got locked down for "suspicious activity" and "possible hijacked account" shit. When I bought SC2 I just made a new account because I was afraid of getting into possible legal trouble otherwise. Gladly, my account didn't have anything tied to it, so I didn't lose anything.

Several years ago, a friend and I decided "Let's go on Runescape and pretend to be hookers." We almost got some poor dudes in, but we got too weirded once the implications of what we were doing sank in and just left. This is now an in-joke for us. Years later, a separate group of friends said to me "Let's go on Runescape and pretend to be hookers." I shut that down pretty much instantly.
Probably pretending to know what I am doing on ESO, making a guild, recruiting a shit load of people and then going dungeon crawling. "Okay so we need to take these guys out first to make it easier, everyone ready?" Insta-death within 10 secs of combat for everyone. Rinse and repeat until eventually we do it or someone logs off. I do this in every MMO, I have an inspiring presence and great tactical analysis over a situation which gives my minions confidence when fighting with me. Until they have fight with me
I got into Tibia once as a kid, got up to the level to get past the tutorial island and get to the main game proper, everyone I saw in the first town spoke Portuguese. I turned the game off and never returned.
in runescape i stayed in lumbridge until i was in the mid-level 30s, then lost 2000 gold and cried myself to sleep and never played the game again [editline]14th May 2017[/editline] i was like 7 or 8
