How do I turn off my Zune HD? - General

I just recently got a zune hd, I can't seem to figure out how to turn if off. The manual and a bunch of sites say to hold the power button and an option will pop up, but when I do it it ust loads up like it did when I first turned it on. Also, when trying to install the zune software, it says I need updates for it to be able to install, but windows update says that there aren't any updates. I'm really confused. Any help? I've tried google and the zune site, can't find a helpful thing on either.

Just call them, it'll get the problem solved easily.

"On/off button. Press the on/off button to turn the player on. It will turn off by itself after a period of inactivity. To turn it off manually, press and hold the button until you see the off option." Hope that helps.

Hold the power button down for about 5 seconds, slide down a screen that resembles the lock screen, power is off.

Once you turn it on you can never turn it off.

Take out the battery for 10 seconds and try again.

The power button is the one at the top of the Zune HD, not the menu button near the bottom or the play button at the side.

It should make the screen darker and there will be a text over a grey bar that says "Swipe Down to Power Off"

Hold the top button until a the little cover thing comes down a little bit, then slide it down. Well shit now that I read your post...just call cutout service.

Zune HD is fucking awesome looking, its sleek but industrial looking at the same time. Second best rated mp3/media player after ipod touch
