Last month I started experimenting with Acid and Mushrooms for the first time ever. (Had the worst experience of my life and will probably never do them again). Anyways even still now I'm feeling effects from them (very minor). For example flat white surfaces look like the fuzz on a TV, and dark rooms make me see TONS of crazy shapes and colors that are extremely distracting. My question is does anyone know how long it should take for these effects to subside, or at least get to the point where I don't notice it any more? Also Weed has been completely ruined for me. I used to be able to smoke a quarter ounce to myself in a day of high-grade stuff, now I can't even get more than 5 hits in without freaking out entirely. (When I get really high, it starts to feel VERY similar to acid and causes a lot of anxiety) Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone else? Any input/questions would be appreciated, thanks.

Whenever I start freaking out I remind myself that nothing that's happening can hurt me physically, and that it will all end soon enough. When that feeling of anxiety comes on, try to focus on it and stop trying to fight it - kinda just let go and let it overwhelm you. Also, try and make some kind of safety line for yourself. Find some object/song/picture that you know really well; when you start to feel anxious, remember/listen to/look at the safety line and it'll help make you feel calm.
[QUOTE=MGinshe;33792565]Whenever I start freaking out I remind myself that nothing that's happening can hurt me physically, and that it will all end soon enough.[/QUOTE] I used to do this exact same thing and it always worked, and then I had 2 seizures while I was tripping REALLY hard. Now I understand that physical harm is very possible, and that's what scares me the most. Anyways thanks for your idea for focusing on something meaningful, that's a good one.

Anyways thanks for your idea for focusing on something meaningful, that's a good one.[/QUOTE] Physical harm IS possible (but really unlikely), but stuff like "omg my head is exploding" or "my chest hurts I'm having a heart attack" isn't and that's what I usually find myself freaking out about. Thanks, I used to have a pretty bad anxiety issue and it helped me develop ways to avoid that kind of stuff. Also, maybe try smoking more Indica strains for a bit until you feel more comfortable with the trip.
He, I've always thought I had this since whenever I get really high I can do some jedi mind tricks to myself and apply CEVs to what I'm watching when it's dark :v: It's of no health concern at all by the way, the only real impairment I've heard of anyone getting from this is some guy telling me about hallucinations creeping in on monitors distracting quite a bit when he's trying to read. [editline]19th December 2011[/editline] I do not relate to the anxiety you're all talking about though.
man, what the fuck are you complaining about it making weed affect you more powerfully for you're gonna save so much cash if having like 3 hits gets you high as shit I used to go through about a gram a day, that was bad enough considering prices here but a fucking quarter? god damn [editline]19th December 2011[/editline] also, regarding your persisting hallucinations or whatevecr I see the same things now that you mention it (always shapes and shit in the dark), just something I never really notice because it's part of my day to day life, mind you it's probably a fair bit more mild than for you I hear a lot of stories of people that just get freaked out and due to the shock of the experience and start thinking they're seeing things that weren't there before, but were there they just never paid it any attention until the experience brought it forward to them so to speak. But if it's as bad as you say (white wall static effect being as noticeable as a TV) then I feel for you man, to me that'd be pretty shitty but also to an extent pretty cool.
When I took acid twice in the same week I had residuals for 3-4 months afterwards. Patterns and stuff would move around in front of me, i would get floaters, static, stuff like that. Went away eventually though

It's hard to regulate your intake when you've never had to before. And I didn't used to a smoke a quarter a day, that was just my PR. Also maybe I made it out to be way more intense than it is. It doesn't actually LOOK like a tv, just resembles the effect in a subtle way.
Anxiety is a real factor in paranoia. My dad suffered from paranoia, anxiety, depression and alcoholism. All of his fears consumed him, and he would actually hear things, and he hasn't done any psychedelic drugs in years.
I enjoy taking amphetamines and then getting lost in the changing room of TK Max.
I haven't tried LSD or mushrooms but I have tried DXM and the same thing happens to me with weed but even after 2 or so hits. I enjoy it though as long as I'm alone or I have benzos with me.
I got this shit normally. i just stopped caring after a while like floaters or tinnitus
should be over after 2 weeks, just lay off the psychedelics and try not to smoke much weed& if you do take smaller hits.
really just don't focus on it, keep your mind busy. the only reason why it's such a big deal in the first place is because you're making it one. personally i love the effects and welcome them but i could just as easy ignore them because they aren't important. it's like floaters. you gonna let it bother you so much you get your eye jelly replaced just for a chance, not certainty but a chance that they'll go away? cept in this situation it'd be benzos or shock therapy. neither good. you just need to learn to deal with it. maybe then will it go away.
