A beta was already out?
Wait, what?
Updates to Dota 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include Apparently you must restart steam to update a game.
yes keys have started being given out to those who filled out a survey since yesterday and over the next few days they're going to release more keys.

Wait are you flaunting keys you can gift to people?
I hope I got in
i never said it was open to the public, i said it's starting to open.

did you completely miss the
starting
Fuck I want this so bad
did you completely miss the
No, no I didn't. There's a difference between open to the public who got keys, and open to the public as in everybody.
No, no I didn't. There's a difference between open to the public who got keys, and open to the public as in everybody.
did you miss the fact that the beta was exclusively for professionals and valve staff so far? this being a wave of keys being sent out to the public means it's starting to open to the public.
did you miss the fact that the beta was exclusively for professionals and valve staff so far? this being a wave of keys being sent out to the public means it's starting to open to the public.
This is still a SELECT public. You say that I'm missing something, but I'm not, you aren't understanding that I'm simply referring to the fact that it isn't open to absolutely everybody, though it is open to the public, it's technically a closed beta because you still need to have a key to get in. I'm not trying to pick a fight, I'm just saying you don't seem to be getting what I'm saying.
The fucking survey doesn't open for me
Restart steam, it specificly says that.
Would be awesome if some of us got invited... (i did the survey i just hope they accept mine!).
I was invited and about to sign up... but then I got to a survey asking for my skill in DoTA from 1 - 10. Same with how many hours I've put into it... which is none. So I just gave up. :(
Steam doesn't detect I have crossfire or more then 1 card when doing the hardware survey.
i did the survey and totally buggered it up. put in absolute shit and i think i made my point i never played dota before.
i did the survey and totally buggered it up. put in absolute shit and i think i made my point i never played dota before.
The survey was written in a way that assumed that you have played Dota before.
The survey was written in a way that assumed that you have played Dota before.
Yea, that does not mean I can put in 1 gold per round -4 levels and a hero twice in the drop down menu
Someone gibe me beta key pls
Huuuuuge DotA fan here, so you know how bad I want a key. :<
