Well the sound is fine until i plug in my USB 360 controller, then it goes all distorted. This happens in all sound thats outputted so Windows Media Player, Youtube, hell even the USB remove device jingle is distorted.
I installed new drivers with no success. The sounds stays messed up even when i take the controller out, and fixing it requires a restart.
Anyone got any ideas why its doing this and how to fix?
Try plugging your controller into an external USB hub, then restart. The controller should be the only device occupying the hub. You can also try filling up every USB port you have, but leave the last one open for your controller. Do not plug in the controller until all of the other slots are filled.

Holy crap i plugged it into a random USB 1.1 adapter i had lying about and the sound didn't mess up :D. I thank you with an internet hug.

I bet it is because the sound and the usb's are on the same IRQ, I had a similar problem
