• Question regarding cellphone...

Hey guys. I have a quick question here, I recently bought a three-year plan phone with Telus, which got me a cheaper deal with the phone. This is the phone I bought, a Samsung Instinct: So, at first I thought it was great... but now, it always freezes, and it sucks. ( The freezing isn't because it's damaged, I haven't dropped it once.) The thing is, is that I got the three-year plan a few months ago, in November or something, and now I want to change the phone. Thing is, I want to get an iPhone 3GS or something. Now, my question is, since I already have a Three-year plan with my Samsung Instinct, will I have to pay $149.00, which is the cost with a three-year plan, or $649.00 which is the cost without any plan? Thanks in Advance... TL;DR: Already have a 3 year plan with a cellphone, want to get a new one, will I have to pay full price of new phone or price of 3 year plan on the new phone?
You'll have to pay the full price. The reduced price is the price when you buy it with a 3-year plan. Companies do this because it allows people to get tied into the plans with the good deals on the phones. After you already have the plan, you'll have to pay full price in order to get new phones. Once your plan becomes close to running out, you'll probably be offered an upgrade at which point you'll be able to extend your contract for another reduced price phone.
Aw, that sucks. Oh well, thank you for answering my question.
