• Do you think individual members should be banned from using polls?

I think so, as it would prevent the poll spam for the most part, and allow people to post polls of at least some relevancy to something. The "sauce" thread is a good example of a bad poll, it didn't even have an "other" option.
Yes. Shoulda made this a poll.
I was making it a poll, it just took forever to make all 7 options...

You know.. like before? Anyway.. voted that they should be allowed and there should be no limit. I don't think people should be limited to discuss things at all.
I think if they spam bad polls then it should be a ban. If they post 4 polls, it is okay as long as it is reasonable and a good question, because that is what polls are for, isn't it?

Yes, but temporary and per infraction like bans. = you make a shit poll you no longer can make polls for a set period of time with that account. Yes, though with a strike policy leading to a perma ban from polls. = you can make a set number of shit polls in a period of time, then the account can no longer make polls.
You should get a short ban for making shit polls, same as making shit threads
Why do we need change, if the thread is shit than it'll get closed and the person banned. If the thread is not shitty, where's the problem with the poll, is it really that ugly or is there just some conservatism on the work that people generally rant at new stuff? It's the same with the changing of the ratings, everybody was crying around because it brings this and that problem and blah blah but now it's normal.
You should get a 1-2 day ban for making stupid polls or threads.
since you don't understand it I'll explain;
Well the question only talks about polls in general, not "shit polls". But I understand now.
Well the question only talks about polls in general, not "shit polls". But I understand now.
I gave an example of a bad poll, one which it's only point is to make a thread with a poll. The chips thread however is a good example of poll usage, common options with a choice to choose something else via an other option..
Should be limited to a specific post count to stop new users misusing them.
