Ok,
I am building a $1000 AUD PC for my aunty and uncle and I just need to decide what parts to get. As I have build my PC not long ago, I put a Phenom 2 x2 550BE in my computer and I was thinking of putting a Phenom 2 x4 965BE in my computer and give them my CPU. They said they will buy the 965 so I don't have to then... I would like you to help me pick parts from this website www.itestate.com.au Thanks so much.... Also the only thing they don't need is a monitor.

Ok I was thinking of this
OS http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=07406
CPU http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=07474
GPU http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=07362
Motherboard http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=06888
HDD http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=05186
RAM http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=06941
Optical Drive http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=06856
Case + PSU http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=07458
Keyboard and Mouse http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=07660
It comes to a total of I think $975AUD or something. Do you think that is good?
They do run there business off it and my cousin does play some games like Sim City etc.. They would like a big HDD since they have all there business stuff.. If you think 1-2gb of ram is fine ok but I thought 4gb would be rather nice for there computer considering they are barely running off a Pentium 3 with 128mb of DDR and a 40gb HDD.... They are running off a laptop at the moment..
STRICTLY IT ESTATE ONLY, NO NEWEGG!
What will they be doing with that CPU? Rendering their porn videos?
$975AUD for a Phenom II x4 965, 1TB space, 4gigs of ram, and all the rest sounds rather overpriced.
Sure there isn't better sites in australia?
What will they be using it for?
I'm guessing the most system-testing thing they'll be doing is checking their damned e-mail, so get something like this:
Athlon II 240/250
2GB DD3 1333
Cheap AM3 board with integrated graphics
300-350W quality PSU
Samsung F3 500GB

he said he will buy himself the 965 and put his old processor in their comp.
1-2 gigs of ram is fine for web browsing and Emailing.

Jesus.
You could prob buy them a netbook and they'd be floored by it's performance.
Yeah, more than likely but they are using a laptop with a Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz with 4gb of ram so they wouldn't really I suppose.. :|

So wait, they have 2 laptops or what?

I would just go ahead and get the 400W or 460W Cooler Master elite which are both around $30.
Or even a 500W for future upgrades. Those run around $50 for a qualtiy, yet cheap one.
What are they going to be using all that for? I don't think they'd be using it for much, I'd go with this:
OS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116752
CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103279
HDD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148309
Monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009185
GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130501
Mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131391
PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016
RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146784
CPU cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200014
Chassis http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144209
Optical Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106276&cm_re=Optical_Drive-_-27-106-276-_-Product
You can get an Athlon 240 for the same price as the Brisbane
Crappy mismatched case
Unnecessarily powerful power supply
Unnecessary graphics card
Unnecessary CPU cooler
Expensive hard drive with low capacity
Optical drive can only read and not write CDs & DVDs

This is what I would get:

Don't take it to heart mate.
I love how Facepunch blatantly disregards the fact the OP mentioned that he wanted links to be from IT Estate. The USA is not the only country in the world, and Newegg is not the only shop in the world.
Yeah, it is a tiny bit hard when we are thousands of kilometres away from each other...

You can even hook it up to your TV, so they'll have endless fun.
I know he's not from the States - neither am I - it's just to show what parts I was thinking of.

Why is there a hyperlink under the word "endless fun" that links to: http://www1.onemillionsearch.com/find.php?query=endless+fun&cc=GB
am I only getting it?
