Sometimes I wish I was rich. - General

Don't take me wrong or anything, but I sometimes wish I was rich. I live in a rich kid public school where everyone brags that their going to Hawaii or they just bought their 4th mansions, shit like that. I'm probably the lowest class of them all. I wear decent clothes and shit, its just that my mom has no job, and I don't even know my dad. We live in my ceased grandmothers house that was built in 1942. Its a decent house, don't get me wrong. Well built, all that. It's just that it doesn't have..newness to it. I've probably been living my whole life as a lower class. One period of my life for about 5 years (3-8) I was middle - high class. But since then, shit hasn't happened. We are in the process of selling this house, but the money is split in between my aunts and uncles, and we probably get 10,000. Even then we won't be middle class again, as we have to move into a house we own on a hill that has a frozen well due to renting it out to these dumb asses. The only sources of presents for Christmas or money or anything is from my favorite aunts. They're both nurses, and they make a pretty good wage. Keep in mind, I live in a pretty..old family. My mother is 64, and my aunts are 65 and 56. I don't really have anyone that's my age, as none of my aunts wanted children as late as my mother. I just wanted to express my feelings of being poor. I have a computer just because it was given to me by my aunt. And if you've seen my PC Building section thread, that is also the result of my aunt and me getting good grades, having a job, ect. I'm not sure if any of you benefit from being rich or anything, but I just want to ask you what its like, and is it really what it sums up to be? [b]TL;DR:[/b] Sick of being poor, low class. Most kids who are rich turn out to be douches, working and earning what you have builds character, you dont benefit from being rich past the being rich part

From all the rich kids I've known, it seems being rich either makes you A) An asshole B) An idiot To be honest, I'm glad I'm not rich, I love the life I have already.

I love being shit poor, the way you have to work for stuff, eating stuff is 10x more satisfying knowing you won't get to enjoy another box until forever, don't have to waste my time worrying useless ridiculously expensive things like cell phones, I was actually mad when I found out my family would be getting 400$ more money at the end of each month. Join the club, I'm poor as shit too. I remember kids at my school used to think it was "cool" to be poor. They all acted like they were poor, but their parents would buy them whatever they want.

Get a real degree in college, don't major in English, Psychology or Sociology. Major in a math related degree, engineering or an accountant, or become a doctor. It's a lot of hard work but it will pay off.
