trying to decide a proccesor - Hardware & Software

i'm thinking of getting a new alienware m14x, and i'm trying to decide between getting the i5 2430m or the i7 2670qm. would it be worth the extra $250 to get the i7 or should i just get the i5?

Don't get the M14x for fuck sake.

Why would you buy an Alienware when you can get a superior Sager/Clevo laptop for cheaper? All Alienware laptops have to offer over the competition is over the top LED lights.

The i7 mobile is a hyperthreaded quad. Also +1 recommendation for XoticPC.

Passmark utilizes HT much better than any application out there is going to.
