I don't get why is 4chan bad.
Facepunch, apart from a few people, is not productive at all. Say what you like about 4chan, at least they [b]do[/b] shit. Fast threads is 'Baby's first /b/' and the OIFY is basically /b/ with usernames and one extra rule. Face it, we're not that different. Nevertheless, I like this community, while 4chan is there to be used and abused as a repository of camwhores, people with too much porn, and peeps with a modicum of photoshop skill. At least for me.
Also, you can post pictures of your dick on 4chan and still be a perfectly respected poster owing to almost complete anonymity. Which is, y'know, a bonus if you do that kind of thing. Which I don't. OK, I have, but not on 4chan.
Facepunch is a message board for Gmod while 4Chan is a message board for sharing images.

Didn't 4chan catch a murderer at some point? That was pretty cool. And while most of their stunts amount to DDoSing websites until no-one can access them, it's generally fun to watch the reactions.
