• RAM spikes when using Firefox

Occasionally when I'm using Firefox I'll experience extreme lag with scrolling, clicking things, ect. and I'll have to use Task Manager to exit out and restart it. I think the culprit is RAM spikes, as I've looked at my memory meter when these spikes are occuring, Firefox will go as far as to use 250MB of RAM (246,000KB) I've got only two add-on's, Greasemonkey and the Google Toolbar. Can someone help me here?
Disable all add-ons to make sure its not them.
And how much ram do you have..?
4GB of RAM. Other specs, just in case: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93Ghz Nvidia GeForce 9800GT @ 512MB Integrated Creative Audigy Advanced MB Vista Home Premium 32-bit
