Why is the title "iPhone maker to employ more robots" when FoxConn makes products for pretty much everybody?
cus iphones are cool
Because people recognize iPhone over FoxConn
I'm imagining welding robot arms in job interviews now. Thanks for the odd headline, BBC.
Embrace for iPhone tsunami!
Why don't they just employ iFags instead? They are robots in every sence of the word.
Why is the title "iPhone maker to employ more robots" when FoxConn makes products for pretty much everybody?
It seems the BBC decided to change the article title after publication. It really annoys me when Fox Conn are referred to as the people who make the iPhone. Like during that spate of suicides Apple got the blame by some people because they didn't understand that its a company on its own. It would be just as bad if they were called "the company that makes parts of the xbox" etc to be honest.

Only because robots can't commit suicide.

A large amount of jobs could be replaced by robots, it's just that unemployed people can't buy anything, so businesses would actually lose money.
Think this could be partly encouraged by Steve? He always had a thing for totally automated production lines because they ensured perfection. Hell, he was one of the reasons why Next could crank out a computer every twenty minutes back in the 80's.
