Your words in other context. Addiction is not a goddamned on/off switch. Legislative measures being enacted admittedly wouldn't do anything, but disregarding a valid problem as something so trivial is why people with mental health issues are stigmatized and why people [I][B]don't[/B][/I] get help in the first place.

So other people should have to account for his addiction? I know it sucks having an addiction but why should the minority ruin it for the majority? This case may not be the best example but it really annoys me when other people have to go out of there way because someone is trying to pass the blame instead of seeking help when they know they have a problem.

Except he didn't know he had a problem at the time. That's the whole issue.
And how exactly would his proposal ruin it for the majority? The majority doesn't bet 100 pounds every 10 seconds. 10 at most, I would assume.
