This doesn't seem particularly sinister or dishonest to me. Just really poorly presented.
Game crowdfunding projects shouldn't necessarily have to be 100% publisher free or double up as a very early access pre-order, as a lot of people have come to expect from Kickstarter.

^This is Project V13, not some single player RPG.
Project V13 was originally the Fallout MMO until Bethesda had to go and fuck everything up. Why won't they make a Fallout MMO? I mean as long as it's made by Black Isle or Interplay, it'd be amazing with or without the Fallout IP behind it.
