Okay so this happened, i hibernated my computer and started it up later and sound does work but it doesn't work over headphones. It happened to me before but i don't know what i did to solve it anymore. I tried uninstalling audio drivers and rebooting, did nothing besides reinstalling them.

Okay i fixed the problem yesterday but forgot to post the solution, i just uninstalled the sound driver and shut down the computer and started again, restart DOES NOT work.
Yeah, apparently this is a common Windows 8 thing... I experience it too, but all I do is leave my headphones plugged in all the time anyway, so the only time it's a problem is when I want to move my laptop, which isn't that often.
Hibernate also breaks my trackpad. I can't use gestures anymore after my laptop has been in hibernate mode. However, a restart fixes that...
