I'm having troubles with my Linksys wireless router and I don't have any idea what to do.
We're used to the router being relatively unreliable. That is, it is not unusual for our home wifi network to cut in and out occasionally. We can either wait a few minutes for it come back up or we can reset the router/modem. Now, the issue isn't with the modem. We have a hardline running from the router to our desktop pc, and that computer is connected to the internet.
We lost the network earlier today, so I went and reset the router (routine fix)... except, this time, our network never came back up. In its stead, there is an unsecured Linksys network. It is clearly our network, but something is wrong with it. I bring up the Linksys EasyLink Adviser (loads of fun, that program. I fucking hate Linksys) and it says everything is running correctly. It lists our wireless network properly, says the router and network are both functioning normally, and won't allow me to access the security settings.
What the fuck is going on?
