• Ports Suddenly Not Forwarding Anymore
    4 replies, posted
Yesterday, I released my IP address, waited a bit, rebooted the router, and got a new IP address, so all was good. (I have a WRT400N with Charter internet). But now none of my ports will forward (they were beforehand). My IP is indeed static - And here are my settings -
Did you hit "Save Settings"? :v:
I believe there's a firewall option offered by Linksys routers that is enabled by default. You may want to check to see if that is conflicting with the port forwarding. Despite the fact that you state that your local IP was static, you may just want to double-check your DHCP listing to make sure something erroneous didn't occur during reboot. Check if your computer's firewall is on, as well. [editline]7th August 2011[/editline] Also, do you have two routers? If you do, you may need to enable a DMZ on the router that connects directly to the modem that points to the other router. I have this issue, and I've solved as stated. However, with some routers, steam will not function with DMZ enabled, so you will need to set all of the port forwarding options for both routers.
Disabled the firewall, and set myself to the DMZ, but still nothing. The DHCP is set to automatic. And I only have one router.
No help?
