I come here not knowing much about apple products with this question.
What would i have to do to be able to do these things with my iPod Touch (3G)
Legally download files using a torrent onto my iPod, then connect my iPod to a PC like a usb stick then transfer the files over.
My iPod shows up in My Computer but my PC recognizes it as a camera, and won't let me store any files onto it.
Also, i know i might have to jailbreak my iPod touch in this process, but if it do, will i be able to use the iTunes "Restore" feature to, say... "un-jailbreak" it? and turn it back to as if its a brand new iPod?
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.
"Legally"? Why the quotations, bro?
Okay i removed them.

I tried using jailbreakme.com on my ipod but my firmware is too new. I want to know the safest (Meaning i can restore my ipod at any time) and simplest way to Jailbreak.

Download video's from your favourite website
Convert to mp4
Load video's with iTunes
Sync iPod
Done!
Yes you can restore your iPod, which removes the jailbreak.
I don't see why you would restore though, jailbreak has a bunch of capabilities, such as a Flash Player.
What firmware are you on?
I used Greenpois0n for my 4.2.1.
I believe you can use it for latest firmware as well, look it up on youtube.

Im using the latest firmware, and i want the jailbreaking process to be a simple one.
Theres a jailbroken app that lets you do it directly from the ipod, although its kinda hard to find files in proper format. They say [ipod/psp] but they dont always work.
You can't torrent from an iPod and the only way to transfer files is threw SSH which is a network protocol so you'd have to download the files again from your iPod to your computer anyway.
There are torrent clients available for the iOS devices. I believe they are currently command line only, making them a slight arse to use at times though. I haven't had one installed for ages, so I don't know how compatible they are with new firmwares either.
Then once you have downloaded said torrent, just connect your device to your computer and use something like iPhoneBrowser to navigate to the download directory.

Basically everything you just said is wrong and you should feel bad.

Basically everything you just said is wrong and you should feel bad.[/QUOTE]it was called cTorrent. It was abandoned. The last time I tried it, it worked but wasn't effective. You're better using Safari Download Manager and something like direct downloads.
Downloading Linux Distro's on your iPod?
