I have about $900, so I can spend over, but just suggest a realistic upgrade for gaming and overall computer speed. I'd rather not get a new Mobo and DDR3, because I recently upgraded mine. HDD: Good enough, just upgraded 7200 RPM 1 TB + Storage RAM: 4GB DDR2 Mobo:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130265 CPU:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849 Video Card: GTX 260 PSU: Antec 550W I'm running two monitors at 1440x900. I'm thinking Graphics card upgrade. Maybe GTX 570?
570 is pretty good, but you might want to consider the 6970, because your motherboard supports Crossfire, but not SLI
Upgrade PSU too if you are gonna get a GTX 570 or other high-end card to be safe.
You can get a 2500k, G43 and 4GB DDR3 for $400, although I don't think that's what you're looking for. If you're not going to get larger resolution monitors, you can save money by getting a GTX 560 or 6950 1GB. Or, your original route, a GTX 570 or 6970. and like falco said you should upgrade that psu while you're at it
If you buy a graphics card and you have some money left over, you might want to consider a SSD. From what I hear, it's a pretty darn good upgrade in terms of speed.
