Hi, i actually got an XFX nforce 680i lt with a core 2 quad Q6700. But i was wondering if this mobo http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-128-394&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=6#scrollFullInfo (Mine is 1333mhz FSB and that one is 2600mhz. Dont know if it matter. And im not expecting to use SLI.) And an AMD athlon II X4 635 Would be better for gaming. Thank you.
No, performance would probably be the same.
Q6700 is faster, not much but it is faster.
Yes it should be faster, but the Athlon has a higher frequency. However, higher frequency does not always translate to better performance. I would overclock your Q6700 by the way OP.
Ok, thank you. But i dont know about overclocking, my cpu is getting old and hot.
Specs? Also define "hot".
Specs? Also define "hot".
4 gb ram, radeon 5770 Core 1 and 2 is 50 degree, 3 and 4 is 45 degree.
As long as it doesn't go above 75 on load you are fine.
4 gb ram, radeon 5770 Core 1 and 2 is 50 degree, 3 and 4 is 45 degree.
Thats about average. Just keep an eye on it though. If you start to feel sketchy about it, go ahead and grab a Cooler Master Hyper 212+.
