Oh hey, maybe we can have Saints Row 5 again.
[sp]inb4 Saints 4 for gets retconned and the next game bridges the gap between SRTT and Red Faction 1[/sp]

I want a more Saints Row 2-y Saints Row.
I wanna know how? How the hell did the new THQ come back from bankruptcy and buy out the damn Koch brothers?

They didn't come back from bankruptcy, Nordic Games just bought the remains of THQ and adopted the name.

I agree, but credit where credit is due, I think SRTT was the perfect blend of the wacky later Saint's Row styling and the earlier sort of seriousness. If that's where they drew the line, I'd be perfectly fine with another one like it.
I thought Saints Row the Third was a little too wacky honestly.
It had its moments for sure but it's practically a soap opera compared to SR4 and GOH :v:

The DLC was fucking awful and the story was a bit too much, but it was "acceptable" story-wise and perfectly fine gameplay-wise for my liking. I don't regret buying it twice and playing it thrice, and if I were to go "I'm gonna play Saints Row with a friend," I'd be picking that, considering SR2's co-op is broke as fuck and everything after Saints Row TT is miles worse.
Obviously I prefer Saints Row 2's more serious tone, it makes doing shit like letting Maero [sp]fucking smash Jessica with a monster truck[/sp] so much more satisfying when I genuinely hated the character whose [sp]girlfriend I was tricking them into murdering[/sp], but I didn't just actively hate what they decided to go with as their storyline like I did for 4.
Fuck I should play Saints Row 2 again, but I'm not looking forward to getting Respect to do the storyline missions.
The direction of IV wasn't so much bad as it should have been a new IP. As it is, when they did make a new IP - Agents of Mayhem - it was already so close to what Saints Row had become, that it felt redundant.
Saints Row IV should've been the debut of the Agents of Mayhem brand.
I was grated by how most of SRTT story was actually side-missions pretending to be the mainstory.
My problem with 4 was the fact that they killed [sp]Oleg.[/sp]
On the topic of SRTT, i think we could actually do with that game remaining canon, seeing that STAG likely would've evolved into the Earth Defense Force from Red Faction.
Interesting acquisition. Koch also owns the IP to the Metro series. I hope this doesn't affect anything.
I hope Saints Row goes back to the old school, gang bang 'old school' GTA style game, since Rockstar isn't feeling like doing that anymore.
