What part of Kirito's bullshittery are you referring to? Besides all-black getup, I don't see much in common; Pitohui's a nutjob who enjoys going crazy, uses a ridiculous variety of weapons and the one thing in common with Kirito's loadout - the photon/energy sword - she pulls out pretty much at the last possible moment. She's a veteran in the game, so she supplements the eventual boredom with sociopathic dares at the cost of her own life. As for the Psycho LLENN bit, I'm guessing it signifies the breaking point of LLENN in terms of mental state, from what I remember reading about the Light Novels (Spoilers, IIRCshe actually bites out Pitohui's throat to kill her); up until now, she can get lost in the moment and act a bit crazy if stress is pressing on her mind, but at the core she's much more normal than the whacko called Pito. It's about Pitohui taking notice of the Pink Devil as a notorious PKer, deciding to befriend her as well as introduce her to the prospect of truly letting loose in a videogame. This has been hinted at during a conversation in Episode 2 from what I remember, something about truly embracing the philosophy of "it's just a game", aka not letting your moral compass get in the way. We shall see if she truly ends up becoming a successor to Pitohui's ideals, or whether she convinces her friend otherwise.
The full-dive system puts you in an experience which feels almost near-reality. It also gives you some nasty pain feedback for getting shot. In all honesty, I can totally imagine flipping my shit as well. I already flip out a bit when playing games like Rising Storm 2.
Good episode, not much else to say really. Smol angry child throws a tantrum, the other child has a freaky amputation fetish and might being trying to seduce the angry child. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1218/b6c50786-b52a-4dba-9367-9dce67b79cd7/1529768286968.gif
One bitch of a cliffhanger, though. I was ready to see Darth Maulohui having a duel of the fates with anime CS:GO knife rusher. Oh well, just another week to wait :v
WIth a cliffhanger that steep, my expectations of the conclusive battle are pretty darn high. I cannot wait. I do hope that the final episode will be just as exciting and tense as the 11th one from start to finish. And not 5 minutes of intense fighting, followed by 20 minutes of post-game lighthearted discussion and eating candy at Karen's place.
The battle will probably be 8-10 minutes followed by something semi like that. Possibly a hint towards the next arc which we'll never see animated. Fingers crossed it doesn't show any character from the main series.
going to need a source on this because this sounds fucking hillarious
Oh how things have changed. I'm gonna miss this dumb show once it finishes tonight.
>almost gets beaten by pito >tells her teammate to cut off her hands so she can get free >bites pito's neck to kill her and llenn calls pito crazy
I'm going to miss the totally straight-laced and not psychotic at all escapades of the pink bun and friends. Guess I gotta start reading the LN or wait for the manga to get somewhere. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1218/9f352447-9f40-412d-95e7-3c219927ea06/1530377731060.png LLENN/Karen is the hero that tells you your favourite game is shit.
Weow, that's that anime concluded. Having spoiled myself by accident way before this episode, I still got surprised at the sheer brutality of the finishing blow. Seeing T-S get booed at for winning this Squad Jam due to being cheap fucks was entertaining, LLENN and Fuka were the true victors in the eyes of the audience :v Would've liked to see further in-game reactions and aftermath, but this'll have to do. I'd also gone and spoiled myself on who Pitohui actually was, but I was fooled for a few moments till Karen walks up to the real person behind the user while disregarding the setup. She must've caught a severe case of the gays from looking at the gun-toting variant of all-pink magical girl too much, didn't expect to see the things she'd do to Karen, ahue. All in all, I'd say this was a good redemption arc of sorts to give Kawahara-made VRMMORPG story settings more enjoyability, from another author that did far better than the original ever could've. Not to say I'll forgive the originals, but this spin-off stands apart as a solid adaptation.
The pink bunny fangs were indeed very sharp
So if Llenn joined Boss's team, would that make her Big Boss?
One of the actually consistent shows this season.
Thanks to this show, if I ever win the lottery, I'm buying a PS-90 and having it painted pink so that I'll have my own P-chan.
