It already looks horrible.
what anime was that?
Evangelion 3.0+1.0
Why isn't it just called 4.0
The new anime Godzilla movies are fucking awesome
That's one hell of a math u pulled there
fits nicely with the others then
1.11 is a worse version of what eva is that kind of ruins some of the most iconic moments, 2.22 is terrible and ruins everything I liked about eva in exchange for empty "cool animation" that is way less cool than the original ever was, and 3.33 is the most boring movie on the face of the earth where nothing happens and character sit around and explain the plot of the series to you. rebuilds fuckin suck

finished watching angels egg the other night it's a neat movie, surreal feeling and visually beautiful. Did a bit of research on it after watching, and made me appreciate it more. https://t.s-ul.eu/tiXrr2Fc.png
I just started watching this pretty cool anime called Dragon Ball Z, has anyone heard of it?
i've heard of an anime called Dragon Ball Z, but i've never heard of anything pretty cool called Dragon Ball Z
Should I bother with Darling in the Franxx?
No
No
Yes it's alot of fun if you like fun things.
if by "fun" you mean watching characters sit in the living room and talking about a lot of bullshit then yes, it's lots of fun
I love fun.
definitely not.
Which is not what Franxx is
So I don't watch much anime but like a lot of people I got into it a bit recently via One Punch Man, can you professionals recommend any other shows I might like? Here's what I've watched and how I rate them: My Hero Academia: 10/10 One Punch Man: 9/10 Mob Psycho 100: 8/10 Death Note: 6.5/10 I've looked around at what shows are highly rated and the ones that caught my eye are: Attack on Titan, Hunter x Hunter, Assassination Classroom. Are they decent? DBZ and Naruto come up a lot but not sure I want to get into shows with that many episodes, I have seen MHA compared to Naruto a lot though, but I don't want anything too "tropey" which I gather Naruto kinda is?
Assasination Classroom is pretty darn great. Colourful diverse cast of characters, all get their chance to shine and lots of backstory of several of them. Great combination of action, comedy and some more serious things sprinkled in. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Attack on Titan is a behemoth series like MHA. You can't go wrong with it if you like action and plot. IMHO Compelling overarching story and several battles being fought allover at once combined with a pretty huge cast of characters. (Think Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones) I still need to catch up with the latest season though. Curse my never ending backlog.
hunter x hunter is fantastic, it starts off very cookie cutter shounen but keeps getting better as it goes along assassination classroom i enjoyed a lot at first but it got very repetitive and predictable very quickly and the writing tends to not be great
Cool thanks, I'll probably get around to all 3 then. Any advice on dubs vs subs? I generally prefer dubs if they exist unless they are terrible.
it's a remake that adapts more of the manga than the 1999 version does (and also way faster, the old version really drags from what i've heard) there isn't really much reason to watch the 1999 version unless you have nostalgia for it
asobi asobase is becoming more and more bizarre
I don't think MHA<->Naruto comparisons are very accurate personally. There some places they're superficially similar such as being action-oriented, the protagonist being in-training, and episodes having frequent recaps but past those superficial details they're pretty different. Recaps in MHA are typically pretty short and only go over important points, for example, while in Naruto they have a bad habit of making up significant portions of nearly every episode. And while it may be something that changed over time in Naruto (I wouldn't actually know since I've only watched parts of it) MHA has a bigger overarching story that's always right in view whereas the episodes of Naruto I've watched largely feel disjointed from the overarching plot. There's around fifty episodes of MHA currently released and while there's the occasional recap episode, such as the first one of season 3, it really feels like they've accomplished a lot. After a quick look at Naruto's episode list (which may include me overlooking stuff since, as mentioned I've only watched parts of it), it looks like there's only really been one or two major developments.
Naruto received a lot of filler episodes so you would have anime only story arcs jammed between the actual story.
caught up with houseki no kuni manga, boy what a wild ride
After being pestered so much by my friends, I guess I'll try JoJo.
