Also cool piece of trivia, I just noticed the little creatures are the same as in Nausicaä https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/596/a7f4cf48-0769-42b0-9c5a-20d59c64c36e/image.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/596/c86b7160-7657-4016-86b6-d26c45e97fd7/image.png
I can't think of that many honestly, gundam's got some segmented arms but it's not exact the same thing. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58167/c9b587f0-6c7a-44c3-b4da-0de74f7f809a/kapool-corin-custom.jpg
Is there any chance that The Night is Short, Walk on Girl will be ever hitting theaters in the US again? I completely forgot about it's limited airing, and I really wanted to take my mom to see it since it's such a lovely film and she would've adored it.
I started Boruto just to see what it actually was like. Can't believe how low quality the writing is in it, Naruto went downhill but Boruto takes the cake. 7 episodes in and literally nothing has happened.
Finally, they're making an anime about the good Madoka material: the mobage. https://twitter.com/pkjd818/status/1035861169808920577 The more I look at the main character's design the more it goes from bland and boring to genuinely fucking awful.
Call me a traditionalist but magical girl shows where everyone fucking dies just don't do it for me.
madoka's ending is literally just sailor moon's, it couldn't get more traditionalist.
It's not a gimmick anymore either. Everyone and their mother hopped on the grim magical girl train and treated the violence as the backbone of the story rather than a twist
The fact that the player character in this thing is actually QB amuses me even to this day.

Cool, lets hope they get an actual budget this time so we can have a nice framerate.
i don't think having a nice frame rate will help since nobody from the first series is working on it

So a dabbled a bit at a love manga called Uwakoi and I gotta say even for a book with tons of T&A I think this story has a terrible main character Yukiteru. I mean to list a few things; He likes this one up-beat yet clingy girl named Yuno who he lives with with because he lost his house in a fire (Surprised about the 'not dead but non-existant parents') but doesn't do any couple related things beyond hand-holding because "he doesn't feel a fire with her" so he eyes this other chick in school named Rena because "my dick's conflicting with my feels!!" Rena loves the MC because she likes the act of eloping right in his FACE! So they start doing it behind his GF's back while he "attempts" to keep it a secret. Even still; He mentions time and time again he wants to get with Rena and break up with Yuno(Rena even TALKS ABOUT BREAKING UP WITH YUNO) yet he keeps thinking "She's too pure to hurt and leave behind" so he doesn't break up with her. He's either too meek to say anything being wrapped around Rena's little finger or he's really a bastard getting his jollies on the act of adultery. There's a THIRD GIRL who knows about this so she blackmails the MC into having sex with HER to keep a secret. Now she is falling for him because the thrill of blackmailing him gets her off. Yukiteru is like the male combination of Bella from Twilight and what's-her-name in 50 Shades; zero sense with no awareness of his consequences. What is with Romantic related anything having the worst main characters?!
Darling in the FranXX was a ruse, Planet With is the real successor to Gurren Lagann we've been waiting for
I watched Spriggan the other day, and I was still really impressed by the animation. The main villain might be a bootleg Akira character but at least it looks good
Planet With is amazing and if you're not watching it this season you're doing something wrong, it's the best fucking show of the summer season even if the sound design is a bit shit and the cg for the robots isn't winning any awards (still above average for anime though), the writing easily makes up for it. Please watch this show, nobody is paying attention to it and it's a huge shame because it's so good. Norio Wakamoto voices a space dog man in it too.
I have to say Planet With surpassed my expected by a pretty big margin

Asobi Asobase is one of those shows I have to pause every few minutes cause I'm laughing too hard to watch properly.
High Guardian Spice is the anime to end all animes.
Haven't been keeping up seasonal anime in awhile but this is the one i'm watching this show is wild
Anime never ends.
I did a marathon of Tamen De Gushi, due to some posts at "We mostly repost content from elsewhere" edition of LMAO Pics, and while I had a blast going up to 175-ish chapters, I felt very confused at certain point. What's up with chapters 149 and 151? They set a very distinct plotline, yet the following chapters promptly move onto different stuff. Only in 168 is it reminded about again in a slight fashion, but even then the following chapters start doing different things. As for what actually happens,in 149 MC is confronted by a background girl that likes her, all teary-eyed after grabbing MC's arm. 151 then shows a bit of backstory as for why she likes MC, but it doesn't continue the 'present' plot. 168 has her briefly looking at MC with some kind of disdain, and that's it. Is this just scanlations working at a strange pace, or artist doing things oddly?
A lot of the chapters just show daily life of the characters. They have no real bearing on the "distinct plotline" but are the best part of the series. You can assume they happen generally around the same time as their surrounding chapters, but a definitive timeline has never been deemed important enough to discuss.
Yeah, that much I figured. But the plot at 149 and 151 cuts off at a strange point, like it was supposed to continue in the next chapters... yet it didn't.
Just finished Owarimonogatari S2 and now I'm all caught up with the series (still need to watch koyomi tho), theres supposed to be a new season this year, right? Also Shinobu is precious. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/215828/0f783dae-676d-4193-9ec0-b554aa609630/(Hi10)_Owarimonogatari_2nd_Season_-_05_(BD_1080p)_(ReinForce-HS).mkv_snapshot_04.19_[2018.09.05_14.15.21].jpg
Ye, Zoku Owarimonogatari. Which is supposed to be a movie, I think?
I've finished Berserk (1997) and holy shit what the fuck Per a friend's recommendation, I watched the first episode last, I don't regret it. Now I have only one question: where the fuck is the rest? I need it. Urgently.
Read the manga. That's the only way to get it. You may think that there's a CG anime made in 2016 that was incredibly awful and butchered the content it adapted when it wasn't skipping entire arcs in a single episode but it was actually an elaborate prank that really fooled everybody, pay it no mind.
