You are doing something that everybody has universally declared to be an incredibly stupid idea, something universally hated both on its own merits and because it's the worst possible adaptation of a beloved series, and most importantly, you gave us your reasoning why and everybody either disagrees with your reasoning or thinks it's stupid. People think you are being stupid on a fundamental level and because they aren't afraid to tell you it's "lacking sensibility". It's not our job to go out of our way to be extra polite to you. If people think you're being stupid they're going to tell you, and you make it progressively worse by getting offended, acting like everybody is a villain for thinking you're stupid and now you're some poor little victim and everybody is being so mean to you when you've burned any goodwill you had by being really obnoxious about it.

Your acting as if this is some massive life decision. It's a fucking book your reading in your spare time. You could have easily chosen to skip the anime because of it's poor quality and read the manga in your spare time, or watched the anime anyway out of a morbid curiosity or because it's still about something you like and still read the anime when you had some time, but instead insulted people simply because you chose to do something that people didn't recommend.

Uhhhh I dunno I've been visiting this thread for a few months, maybe a year or so, and this shit never happens to me. I think generally when you find yourself thinking "The problem isn't ME, the problem is EVERYONE BUT ME" it rarely turns out to be true.
But I also tend to keep controversial opinions to myself like how I don't think Katanagatari is very good, and how I think Made in Abyss is a gallery of pedophilia and other fetishes, and how I don't think Gurren Lagann is the greatest.

Reading the latest posts was like rewatching the first episode of Berserk 2016 all over again.
You asked for advice, people gave you advice, you didn't take the advice. That's fine and all, you're not obligated to take someone's advice. But then you gave stupid (and easy to counter) reasoning to justify it so obviously people were going to take it poorly and criticize you for those poor excuses. You should really just drop it and move on rather than trying to get the last word in or admit that you handled things poorly.

Okay you know what, fuck this shit. This anime is not worth it. I watched it at 80% speed and with a color filter to try to make it more bearable, but I'd rather watch something good instead.

I wouldn't called PunPun bad, but I personally see no value from a work of crushing depression like it. It just makes me feel miserable reading it, entertainment is meant to entertain and for me

I was thinking I might get around to Berserk at some point, was gonna ask about it but the last few pages have cleared up which one I should watch
the best course of action is still to read the manga first, but going for the 1997 anime first is fine too if you much prefer anime over manga

Every chapter in Gokushufudou just has something in it that works great out of context.
I said entertainment needs to entertain, not "make you happy." Devilman's ending certainly doesn't make me happy but it does entertain, negative emotions can engage you. PunPun just makes me want to stop reading it because of how depressing it feels for me to read it with no end in sight. I don't feel enough meaning or story or themes in punpun to counteract the depression so it
just feels empty and forced. (to me, if you like it that's cool, not telling you to agree with me I know this is a minority opinion.)

Read the manga afterwards, the anime doesn't cover that much of the story and kinda lacks any romantic resolution.
Hataraku Saibou is already formulaic as hell but this episode may as well have just stapled together a bunch of previous episodes.
Today starts S3 of FLCL. Let's see if this one fails to live up to the hype too.

Dang i keep getting into animes that dont get fully adapted. Going trough Grimgar of fantasy and ash and jesus christ its so dang pretty. both backgrounds and characters have this slightly different tonne to them that makes it all look a bit surreal, Plus i really like that its focusing more on the relationships and emotions of the members of the party rather than pure combat and action
This might be the first time i actually get into light novels becouse the anime ends at arround volume 2 i believe, ( and im at episode 6 out of 12 ), and boy i really wanna see where this goes on
