I'm surprised the anime industry hasn't imploded.
When anime companies found out that they could make a fuck ton of money off everything else (manga, visual novels, drama cds, figures, light novels, etc.) mixed with anime still being a relatively niche thing, quality went down significantly to keep costs down so they could make money.
It's compromise I guess. Get super detailed scenes but cut down on animation and have more stills and slow-pans instead.
I'll repeat what I've said before, but Steins;Gate having a bad dub is an opinion I've only ever seen on Facepunch. I think it is generally regarded as good, and if you're someone who generally prefers dubs, you should probably just go with the dub.
It's almost like other anime communities are full of drooling imbeciles who liked darling in the franxx and sword art online too, who can't tell the difference between fate/zero's outstanding animation and direction and fate/apocrypha's utterly incompetent ripoff of zero's style. the standards of the average anime fan are so low it's honestly impressive.
Well the important thing is you've found a way to feel superior to other people based on what TV shows you like.
That's what we do around here.
That little jingle is dumb, yeah, but it DOES fit her character, imo. I don't think it's necessarily a wholly bad idea to add memespeak in there, either. Sure, it's outdated now, and I'd agree that adding memes to works is usually unforgivable, but the characters are goofy college age nerds who browse imageboards. It fits them pretty well. The jive talking thing was an absolute tragedy, however.
Because OVAs have always had a higher standard of art due to a higher budget. You may as well ask why Redline looks better than contemporary TV shows. People cherry pick out OVAs or high quality cuts from TV series and ignore the fact that the majority of older shows are no better than new ones. I've seen more than enough old series with terrible animation. The main thing that has changed is that there are more methods of cutting corners with digital and CG effects and the fact that the number of garbage is larger because there's so many more shows per season. and everybody is stretched thin as a result.
Man, Deviman Crybaby is fucking dumb.
Man, Devilman Crybaby is fucking awesome
You're both right.

I can agree.
Is the dub of Berserk (the old one) decent? Also what's this I've heard about watching the first episode last?
yeah chronologically the first episode is after the rest but that's how it was in the manga too, it's intended to be seen first.
We can still act like one.
The Cat Returns is fucking wonderful. Another Ghibli film that makes you realize that your life will never have a true adventure with friends.
Man finding a torrent for the original gundam was a fucking pain, theres so much mobile suits to sift through
bleach was great anime
The second opening of sayonara zetsubou sensei is wild yuri bondage suicide impregnation, sounds like a bad h doujin
Though this does bring up a good point. If I were to start watching Gundam, which series should I start with?
release order

Release order. Watch 0079 first because it's the best one and fuck you it hasn't aged. If you want to pick a Gundam series that isn't in the Universal Century timeline, you can start wherever you want. Wing, Seed, Destiny, and AGE suck, don't watch those.
shocked you didn't say IBO there, did you just forget?
I forgot about IBO, which is about a good sign of the lasting impact it left.
I just started Asobi Asobase. It is marvelous.
