I actually found the first episode of SAO: Alicization to be a pretty enjoyable watch, save for a few clunky things here and there.
I'm finally all the way caught up on Berserk, after starting the series in 2014. I've gotta say, I don't think any arc has been anywhere near as good as Golden Age. I think everything since then has ranged from passable to an absolute drag. I had all but dropped the series right before the "Fantasia" arc (I think that's what it was called?) but I decided to get back into it when someone told me Casca gets back to normal in one of the latest chapters. But even that was kind of a letdown because it's followed immediately by "By the way, here's the inconsequential bullshit GRIFFITH is up to while this is going on!"
I've told a few people I know that I'm not very invested in the story anymore, due partially to it moving at a snail's pace even when it's NOT on hiatus, but the great artwork is kind of a saving grace of it. But I feel like even that is on the decline, because it seems like what Miura really wants is to make a lighthearted comedy fantasy manga, and instead of making one of those, he's just turning Berserk into that and hoping nobody notices the transition.
The new side protagonists have been in the story probably twice as long as the ones from the Golden Age arc, but I care about them SO much less. If they were all killed off in an eclipse-style sacrifice, I wouldn't care in the slightest, and in fact I'd be happy to see most of them written off.
Very often, the story seems to devolve into:
>Guts is trying to advance the plot
>A bunch of monsters pop out
>Cue 10 more chapters of Guts killing every monster
The series just tires me out these days. I'd really love for Miura to kick it into high gear and crank the story up to a super-fast pace even if the artwork has to suffer for it. But my second choice, barring that, would be for him to just say "I'm gonna stop making Berserk right where it is, there will not be a conclusion." Because at least if that happened, I wouldn't have to slog through so many boring chapters waiting for the actual plot development hidden within.
Wait 2 years, read Berserk for 15 minutes. Repeat. Is my current cycle.
I too have been hoping for Guts to do an accidental teamkill during the last few fight chapters
I started Clannad not long ago. It's great so far.
Oh boy, prepare to get hit right in the feels.
I was pleasantly surprised at the level of self-awareness it exhibited. I hope it stays on this almost-serious-but-actually-not-serious-at-all path.
I don't think I'd ever be able to actually get invested in Clannad between the character design and uguu.

That's Kanon (2006) tho.
You'll have to forgive me for not being able to tell them apart, having not watched them.

I don't blame you. I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed them both, but I still mix them up occasionally.
Same number of girls, both originated from a Key visual novel, both animated by KyoAni (yes I know about the earlier adaption of Kanon) doesn't make it any easier.
I even made a dumb mnemonic to differentiate them.
Kanon = TaiyaKi
ClannaD = Dango
I never watched the original gridman so maybe ill miss a bunch of stuff
I can't get over the :downs: eyes in both Clannad and Kanon
They stated in the staff interviews that they wanted to keep it so that you didn't need any prior knowledge of Gridman to watch it so in this case they just did a poor job of explaining it. In the original series Gridman flat out says "i can't hear you talk to me, use the keyboard to communicate" while in SSSS the girl just says "i'm going to talk to him" and starts typing.
There's a bunch of visual references like the hospital name and you can make some predictions on the plot based on the plot and premise of the original, but SSSS Gridman and the original Gridman are very, very different.
you should check the director's previous shows since they're in pretty similar format, though they can be quite hit or miss for people due to its nature.
Should I bother with the Clannad movie?
No
I've heard people go through clannad because they wanted to see afterstory, I can't say for myself since I haven't watched either but I think its a waste note to.
Kanon has mostly existed my memory with the exception of this scene:

Bless you, Tomokazu Sugita.
I read the first couple chapters of Goblin Slayer. It's pretty good so far.
Imagine sitting in a theater trying to enjoy a movie and that man's handicapped daughter is sitting there screaming UGUU every five minutes.
I can't wait for next episode of slime rpg, I really like the characterization. Can't wait for first contact with the adventurers.
If you like the show then you should read the manga, shits great.
I forced my gf to watch the pilot ep of ONE PUNCH MAN
She was positively surprised, despite all the nutty characters like Crab-man and Car-man, but she laughed once.
A good sign?
If you don't laugh while watching One Punch Man then I'd seriously question ones sense of humor.
OPM was always more about the action than the comedy for me
in this corner of the world was good
never heard of it until a few weeks ago since it came out just after kimi no na wa and was totally overshadowed but 9/10
Action, which are kind of anti-climatic and are ended quickly, with a single punch.
I personally find all the super insane demons and creatures funny, esp. how they tell you how super insane and crazy powerful they are.
